Make sure to watch Chris Temple’s NEW interview with Dave Tice as they discuss the different facets of “Grid Down, Power Up!” in detail.

Investment legend and philanthropist David Tice recently released what has been a several years- long labor of love and cause: a dynamic, sobering documentary on the risks America faces due to a vulnerable and outdated power grid.

Narrated by the actor Dennis Quaid, the multi award-winning Grid Down…Power Up! is a jam-packed indictment of the poor planning on the part of our leaders when it comes to protecting America’s power grid (and more)—a grid which, if compromised or shut down, would upend virtually every part of the life we know. You will hear from a wide array of political leaders, military and security experts, media personalities and others who unanimously hold that without a major effort now – one which IS possible, as you’ll see– to rectify this glaring hole in America’s security, we could find ourselves back to a veritable “Stone Age” tomorrow.

S.M.P.R. (whose Vice President Chris Temple is a long-time friend and colleague of Tice and has supported the project along the way) will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with Tice, Quaid and their team to bring a greater awareness to this urgent cause (Be sure to sign up for our mailing list to keep up with is and more if you haven’t already!)

The much-ballyhooed “Energy Transition” sounds good; and to be sure, we do need to reduce mankind’s “footprint” when it comes to pollution, carbon emissions and the like.

But sound planning (which should have started years ago) based on science, engineering, physics, economics and more has instead been supplanted by a series of ideologically-inspired “wish lists” and virtue signaling suggesting a Utopian, simple process will get us all to the “green energy” future its proponents desire. But it’s not that easy, as even political leaders are starting to understand. Make sure to watch Chris Temple’s recent interview with Ryan Sistad!

SMPR’s Chris Temple, sets down for an interview with Ryan Sistad, Executive Director BIOBY

One of the biggest parts of this dilemma for America especially is that—from rare earth elements, to battery metals, to uranium and more—we do not control our own destiny. Indeed, just one example of this, we pay Russian concerns over $1 billion/year for the enriched uranium needed to run our fleet of nuclear power plants here in America despite having a century’s worth of uranium resources within our own four walls. And Russia is a country we are ostensibly at war with.

And we could talk all day about our reliance on all manner of materials from China.

The right policies for America…the building and fostering of American resources and ancillary needed industries…and the employment at good wages of American workers…could lead to a new technological and industrial revolution for our nation; and that is the key message of Better In Our Back Yard
